But it’s never just one player who gets you there. It makes me proud to see players like Locatelli, Bremer and Gatti in Spalletti’s starting line-up: all players that Cherubini and I signed."Yildiz also arrived in Turin in 2022, as a free agent and under your management... "I take no credit for that. Cherubini and his team were absolutely convinced. Yildiz has class and a real attachment to the shirt: I hope he wins as much with Juventus as Hamilton has achieved in his career."Will John Elkann win the Scudetto with Juve first, or the Drivers’ World Championship with Hamilton or Leclerc? "I hope for both as soon as possible. Elkann guarantees all the financial resources available, but then it’s up to the teams to do the work. John won’t sell Juventus, especially after his recent statements. For him, it’s an asset that goes beyond business."Do you have a transfer dream? "Donnarumma to Juventus."Would you renew Spalletti’s contract? "Yes. He’s a thoughtful person; he’s building Juventus and instilling confidence in the players."You went through tough times because of the Juve trials: in the end, you were acquitted. Were you afraid? "More anger at the fact that my honesty and work ethic were being called into question.
